You may want to angle your plate a bit more. It looks like one bottoming out of your shock and your plate will hit the rubber.

im hoping to make it out to the next lunch or something   drink

hey el matador,
what gauge metal do you use to make your brackets?
i think what i used to make this might be a little too thin and flimsy, i used 26g i think, and after riding it about 50 miles with the weight of the lights and plate it kinda made it sag a bit.
might remake one with thicker metal or just beef this one up somehow.

I use 16 gauge. It makes it a lot harder to bend, but there is a certain trick to it. Pm me for my digits if you want me to walk you through the process of doing it...

cheers!
