All is good these days and I use it especially in the evenings coming around the Beltway from Wilson Bridge to Tysons to get on toll road to Reston. The back up on the regular lanes for people heading back into Maryland can start before US50, sometimes all the way back to Braddock. But with the express lanes I just scoot right through. I also like using it on the bikes since there is almost no traffic for me in the directions I travel. I hate paying when I'm not on one of the bikes, but now that I use the Fiat instead of the Hot Rod Truck to commute the 38MPG helps. Anyway this is the first thing in quite awhile that makes sense but based on the little use it is getting I'm betting things are going to change. - Gene

people are saying similar things about the ICC, but I am not going to bet on any changes...

what should happen is this
-decrease the tolls by half for a 6 month period. let people get acclimated to using it and seeing the benefits without a massive fee.
-after 6 months, you bring the fee up 20% every 6 months for the next 18, and leave them at that final rate for a period of at least 12 months and reevaluate.

what will happen is this
-no one on it, so they'll increase the speed limit
-one year from now, due to revenue not raised from the lack of use, the fee will be raised 35%.

I think the important thing is:

but now that I use the Fiat instead of the Hot Rod Truck to commute

You didn't get rid of that monster truck did you?!?

Nope I just use it sparingly and I do enjoy driving it. I've decided I'm going to keep it for a long time so it is good to have the Fiat for buzzing around town, commute, and also hitting the back roads with Nora when it's too wet or cold for one of the bikes. - Gene

Gene- did you get the Abarth? or just a regular 500?

and what led you to get the Fiat over say, the Smart or the Mini?
