I have some on-board video too I'll post later. Pretty neat perspective of a bike race. And lapping the closed streets of Reston Town Center.

A buddy of mine was in the Cat 5 race that day.  He remembered the ST... He was also a fan of the white VFR that marshalled at the pro race in Clarendon a few weeks back.  Guess he likes the sport-tour bikes.

I was sure that you would be in that one and not pacing it!  Nice pics of the bike though!  That is a crazy course there in Reston, and they added 2 more turns!

The white VFR belongs to my buddy Stefan. He has a red one too. He's a big moto nut. He's also got a on BMW K bike, and an MV Agusta F4. When i get my official upgrade from C to B i'll be eligible to work at the big pro races like Clarendon and such. There's another racer in this district who works moto on a Triumph Speed Triple. The other moto at Reston was a V-Strom 1000. Most of the other refs ride Beemers. I'm seriously considering looking for a used BMW RT-P.

DC, my form is not so good right now for these kinda crits. Considering there were 4 crashes in the Cat 4 race, 2 that requried hospital trips, i'm glad i wasnt in it. I'm just gonna stick with doing Greenbelt and our clubs Davidsonville tues/thur hammer rides (It's harder than 95% of the Cat 4 races in MABRA) the rest of the season and do centuries on the weekend day im not working a race.

That is the exact reason that I know longer race...it gets a little crazy and expensive!  Greenbelt is a great place to "Ride"...they keep a good pace and the final stretch will kick you in the @$$.  Have fun with the group and be safe!
