Tail chop question

I just did the tail chop using the monstertailchop kit, and like the look and results.  The only thing I don't like, is the extra bit of bar on the left side, and to some extent that little bit on hte right side that I plugged.

I'm thinking of cutting/grinding back to the frame, and getting some matching frame paint and spraying that littl bit myself.

I'm guessing that somebody must've doen this.  How did it go?  Any advice appreciated.
