So for the fast, gangbusters run yesterday, wheelspin in first and second.

It sounds to me like two cylinders, but just flat. When rich made a difference it was like 20% over a 5.3 stoich, and it feel even further on it's face.

Current plan for tomorrow is to base the map entirely on tps, set for 100% stoich with 100% tps, etc. Probably not great for real world driveability, but it takes fuel out of most of the map and I still have 25% available in Accel enrichment.

Okay, speeddog had the right hint. The horizontal cylinder want firing due to salt bears. Moved the ground from the salt spray, and I have to cylinders again.

So after moving the ground, we were back to intermittent good running... I blamed the coil, and cadged a couple of spares from the mayor of Wendover.

Once the offending coil was swapped out we discovered the hypothetical map did not work.

No worries, as I hadn't thrown away previous maps. While still far from perfect, certainly a decent starting point now that the bike runs.

Next run was back up in the 130 range, but still missing some top end to get it over there aero hump.

Started playing with timing a little, and then the day got called early for wind.

This morning, I bumped the rev limiter to 12500, ran the extra timing from yesterday afternoon, and went 140 and 142 over the two measured miles of the short course. The morning line took forever, but then everything died down.

I bumped the timing again, and started to get funny running. It seemed to get better if I gave it some accelerator pump, so I bumped the fuel. Same thing. Dropped the timing back to the fast run, same thing.

This is a familiar operating mode that eventually ends up with a totally toast coil. So I swapped the other one out with the second of the recent acquisition.

Wind came up, and we called it a day before it was official.

I'm not sure. Current theory points to dwell (3.0 ms doesn't seem out of line for internet lore on Corvette MSD coils) or rpm.

I am currently leaning toward rpm being the problem right now. The plan is to pick up a couple of pairs of panigale coils or something along those lines that can deal with rpm.

We've been chasing so many issues, I'd forgotten that was an option.

Are they available for a less than unreasonable price?

Do they publish dwell specs or do I have to guess?

I've not seen any dwell specs, but I haven't been looking either.

I bought a used set of 848 coils, cuz they were the cheapest, and a cheapo digital o-scope from Amazon. notionally, that should be enough to crack the code.

How about wiring? I have three wires, red, yellow, and black, but only one connector...

I would assume red is hot, yellow is command, black is ground?
