Good news -- that new points system for riding like a dick should result in a significant increase in the number of threads about how political Dorna is.

Once the ten point sanction has been imposed then points reset to Zero. Points are not carried forward to the following season.

I dunno...that seems like a Marc Marquez frequent flyer program  Grin

"To ensure that teams in the Moto3 are supplied with engines of the same specification at a reasonable price it has been agreed that engines will be supplied via the series organisers and distributed randomly. Engines will not be returned for maintenance but having completed normal mileage will be retained by teams for other purposes or sale on."

WTF?

I thought all the Moto3 engines were bought items?

And there's several manufacturers?

WTF?

let's see... MotoGP sucks, so let's grab ahold of the better series, WSBK, and make it suck more, so we don't look like we suck so bad.

I was thinking about this...

Do you think this will slow down R&D for showroom sbk's because they prob wont allow that much engine modding under the new rules or spur development of stock engine power and create a new hp war?  Maybe see more homogolation specials?

I think manufacturers will spend/do as little as possible to keep selling new bikes....one thing's for sure, it'll be based on far more marketing and far less technology for a few years so the homologation specials (marketing) might be one way - although, for example, I don't know how well/poorly the Nicky Hayden Ducati sold.
