Got my headlight in.....

I like it! They way the guages stick out soo much causes some clearence issue but i'm i'll think it'll look better once i clean up everything behind it. Got my tygon tubing in for my rear brake so i bled that.

Also if you don't have a front stand but have a big a** metal stake you can make one!

Cleaned the front wheel and did the rest of the wheel tape....

Ran out!!!  bang head wish i didn't waste soo much on the back!

Oil cooler, seatpan and some other small stuff this weekend..

Headlight looks good!

How have you attached it? Looks like the stock headlight bracket at the top. Is there anything securing it at the bottom?

stock brackets, nothing on bottom. We'll see how secure it is with just two bolts and locktite.

I'm going to put some rim tape on this winter and I have the feeling that it's going to end up like yours. Wink

It's such a PITA to get it right, but once you do totally transforms the boring 3 spoke brembos. Just buy two so you don't have to pay for shipping twice!

Really surprised by how good that headlight looks.  Can you take another picture of the head light from further away?  Interested in seeing how it flows with the rest of the bike.  And yeah your clocks look a little out of place now.  Not sure there is much you can do about that though...

I've since powder coated the mounting brackets black so it blends in well. Trying to think up a way to lower the clocks a bit because the light is mounted to high in these pictures.I would like for the arch in the headlight to match the arch in the tank. I fabricated some little extenders that bring the mounting holes for the clocks back about an inch but its still not how I would like it.

I used metal hose clamps with the rubber inside to clamp the headlight bracket to the factory u-bracket. It seems to have held up well but as I said would like something which would allow me to lower the headlight more. Thinking of a straight bar with a slot cut in it to allow vertical movement. Then mount it using the clocks mounting holes and modifying the brake line bracket at the bottom or making a plate for a good solid mounting system.

Painted the seat tray black.....

Looks sooo much better, i also cut out some holes for the license plate light. So the Leos need a real reason to pull me over.

I still have to turn off the license plate light on my taillight.

On the to-do list....
  • Headers
  • Paint Oil Cooler
  • Mount Oil Cooler
  • Exhaust Can Mount
  • Check the valves
  • Front Turn Signals
  • Bellypan
  • Clean up wiring and tubing

Ok question for you since it looks like you have the same tail light as me...  I saw this PDF on the motodynamic website:

The diagram shows the yellow left turn signal wiring and blue right turn signal wiring.  Is the right turn signal on the right if you are looking at the front of the bike?  Or is the right turn signal the one that turns on when you turn right?

I took the diagram literally and assumed the right turn signal was on the left when looking at the rear of the bike.  I don't have a battery right now so I cannot check to see if I got it wired correctly.

I have ducatimonstertailchop intergrated tail light I think it is the one that turns that blinks right if you are seated. Send the PDF to my email (link underneath my name <--- )   I'll take a picture of mine when i get in the garage later today, I had to switch two wires actually.

Hmmm... that's weird.  Just noticed it didn't include my link.  Anyway, I just emailed it to you.

Going to try the link again: http://www.motodynamic.com/installation/d-mst-b-bst.pdf

Thanks for the help...

Got some more parts in so i could do a little work this weekend.

I got my blinkers from competition werkes, cheap, shorter than the originals and are not of the LED varity. I like them.

I've been running with out a rear hugger for most of last season. Looks great but gets the shock and seat tray pretty dirty. I was going to buy a CF shorty hugger but didn't want to spend the cash so i took a dremal to my old crappy stock one and kept trimming till i liked the shape.

Before

After

I took ALOT off.

It came out pretty good if i don't say so my self. Best of all it was a free mod.

Just needs a sanding and some paint and it will be good to go.

What's happening with the exhaust? I noticed you had the one you bought earlier on for sale...
