Great news out of Hockeytown the last few days.

Yesterday, they announced a new 3-year contract with Pavel Datsyuk.

Last night, their top minor league team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, won the Calder Cup.

Today, it was announced that a framework agreement had been reached to build a new arena for the Red Wings in downtown Detroit near Ford Field and Comerica Park.  http://www.freep.com/article/20130619/BUSINESS06/306190099/-650M-Red-Wings-arena-proposed-near-75-Woodward-video-
