who the hell was I meant to talk about?

anyway - read my ride report - I even invented 2 riding buddies so it would be less "I".

did you mean to be 'Tool' or 'Trool'

BigIain - I just wish you'd talk about yourself more mate, you should write more stories!

If you're going to use big words you should at least spell them correctly: predilection not prediliction.

OK, so how do you propose we talk about stuff if we don't talk about ourselves. You couldn't even do it in this post, you talk about how "i noticed..." . Maybe you're proud of your noticing. Good for you. I like observant people.

In the [Melb] ride thread, it was a bit introspective - so I invented friends!

Bazz - I don't understand living in such climates - aren't the women nasty when it gets cold? I've always found women to be magnificent people - as long as they are warm and well fed!

cheers to all the real, contributing members of the board! (no tools allowed?)

I notice a regular prediliction of Monster Optometrists ,  Its just a case of I , I , I or is this just a case of viewing the world through rose coloured glasses.

Try asking a question in tech. People here will go out of their way to help you, a stranger they will never meet.

I can't say I've seen anyone ever brag 'I just spent $X on this item.' But if you ask for help, people will tell you where to get the best deals on stuff... or teach you how to do things so you don't spend much money at all.

You might also be confusing passion for vanity. People often spend a lot of time modding their bikes - but it's not just so they can show them off down at some cafe: I think you'll find the people who spend the most time modding also spend enormous amounts of time riding. Ducati started the ball rolling with the 'naked' Monster.. and a lot of people like to extend upon that, take it even further, strip their bikes down to the quintessential motorcycle - engine, tank, seat, wheels.

And if that sounds like crap, well,.. EVERY major bike manufacturer has embraced that vision too.

Cheers  waytogo

Thank yoy for your wonderful responses, I value the tech info, just sick to death of people dragging out the " I have got something coming, guess what it is harr harr type comments"  think the rest of the posts are quite interesting.
