I'm keen to get a lighter flywheel for my 2005 620. I've heard that a machined stock wheel is pref errable over an alumin aftermarket unit.
 Two questions:
Are flywheels model specific, I'm going to try and find a used one on eBay, does it need to have come off a 620, or will other wheels fit also?
I will get a local machine shop to turn it down, has anyone got the required dimensions to slim it down to?

i machine them down to 120mm od and around 13mm thick (from memory) at the outer edge.  makes them about 880 grams.

Are they model specific?

Depending on the size of the package. I sent a clutch hub out to Australia for $12 bucks from USPS. It isnt all that bad.

It's the other direction that screw us Aussies. Cost me $120 to ship two brake discs to china. A flywheel to USA would be like $50!!

Thanks for the mention Smiley

If it fits I have one already done from an injected 900.
