Hey all...  this is from PJ:

"Hi folks,

Sorry if you already got this but I had the wrong subject so here it is again.

I wanted to let you know that next Sunday July 6th we will be hosting a Euro only trackday at Sandia Motorsports Park. We are only selling 25 tickets so you'll get plenty of track time and plenty of room. We'll offer instruction to new riders. You'll need to bring gas and food, shelter and lots water. Tickets are only $150 for the day so they're going to go fast, just call Steve in parts to get one today.

Thanks, PJ "

Assuming theyre doing this chronologically, They've either sold 7 tickets, or have 6 left, so quick.. everyone with a bike and a will to have fun, go buy your trackday tickets!!!! (and a case of bottled water, cause it gets freaking hot out there!!)

Checked out Eurotrackday this afternoon.  I didn't participate, but I watched Ratfink and Flyboy get some awesome runs in.  It was great watching PJ's staff out there throwing down hot laps in the expert class.  Once everyone was suited up, I had a hard time telling who was who, but I know I saw PJ, Chuck, Dillon (Triplethreat), TJ, Jessie, Aaron, Mike, and Jonesy. I was told there were a few mishaps in the morning, but no ambulance rides.

I left home without my SD card so only had internal memory for limited pictures.  Maybe some other folks can post up some, but here are a few to commemorate a fun afternoon.

About this time, I noticed the track west of  us had some action going that I definitely needed to scope out.  That is where I need to be practicing for the kind of riding I've been doing lately.

Looks like something I would do inadvertently:

And A couple of cool videos to top off the day:

Minus the 4 crashes it was a good trackday, 3/4 were in the beginners group, mostly just running corners wide from what I understood, the one from the expert group was someone on a black 675 Daytona that caught air coming around the last turn into the straight, caught air and went into an 80~mph tankslapper.. that one wasnt pretty from what I heard but he is ok, walked away from it. The bike wasnt so lucky.  I slowly gained more confidence in my lines and form. I'm still not what I'd call fast, but I am starting to get more comfortable out there...  Anyone have any Pics of me out there?  I was too busy riding to take any  Evil  Hope to see more of you at the next one that PJ says is in October.

I know for a fact it wasn't Dylan.  Saw him riding all afternoon on his bike.  I believe it was Aaron.

That transition area looks tricky sometimes.  Saw a lot of guys catching air when I was watching a track day there a few years back.

It wasn't Dylan, I dont remember the guys name, He had the Black 675, non special edition, in a Red Toyota pickup.  And yes.. that transition makes it easy to catch air if you are too far to the right, I've done it a time or two myself. Now I just stay to the left.

It was Aaron.  Tech @ PJ's .  He's doin' great.  Just scared the crap out of him.  Thats what happens when your bike spreads wings.

Sorry Ratfink!  I don't have any shots of you this time.  My memory got used up by the video.  Wish I'd got some in the pit, too.  Didn't your wife bring a camera?  Thanks for the agua, BTW!

Oddly enough we both brought cameras... but neither of them were ever brought out of the truck to take pictures..  Oh well, there'll be others.  Glad to here Aaron's doing well.  Hopefully his insurance is up to par and takes good care of him for the bike.   waytogo

I'm afraid to ask my insurance people if the bike is covered on track days.   Shocked

generally it is not covered.  I would tell them I went down on the crest and had a buddy bring the bike to PJs

Perfect!  And that would require far less fabrication than saying I went down at the track.   Cool
