Does anybody have black forks on their bike? If so, pics pls, and what did you use/ how has it held up? I've heard that even the hard anodizing does not hold up very well and I would assume that powdercoating them would cause them to be too thick for the triples. I also heard of vinyl wrapping, but have no idea how durable or noticeable it would be. Inputs?  |

I've done several sets in Hard Black Ano, both for my own and for customers, and they don't fade.
My pics would look the same...

I did the vinyl wrap a few years ago. I never meant for it to stay on long term. I was actually thinking of anodizing my forks, but never got around to it.  It has held up well and it looks nice and glossy. |

I did my headlight frame on my 696 in plastidip and it turned out great and now am tempted to try the forks too....

The idea in my head was more to mask like a champ and do them on the bike. Maybe just pull off the front tire. ....probably a terrible idea, but that doesn't mean I'm still not tempted to try.  |

That's a vinyl wrap not CF forks, no?
It's an actual sheet of carbon fiber formed around the forks, not a vinyl wrap. You may be thinking of the 3M carbon di-noc stuff |
