Well just got back from OH picking up my new toy and am interested in installing a riser kit with handlebars so I can sit more upright but got an email from PJ stating that this bike can not change the riser and can only fit the 22mm bar.  Was looking at this one; Rizoma Conical Handlebar Riser, 42mm Rise

Are they correct, thought there were multiple sets of riser for this bike.

Thanks

Don't know for sure, call Jeff at Monster Parts (site sponsor) and he will know and guide you.

you can go aftermarket riser and aftermarket bars (22mm)

you may have to change some cables depending on the rise

the Ducati performance kit had taller bars I think with the cables in included

you can also swap out different year/model risers from the 696/796/1100 bikes as they all use the same mounts and some have different rises but get the bars that go with them as some of them (1100 I think) have larger diameter bar mounts.

696, 796 & 1100 bar mounts are interchangable. After 2011 they all have the same rise. 696 mount is for thin bars, 796 & 1100 mounts are for tapered bars. I put a 796 handlebar mount on my 696 because there is a far greater range of tapered bars available (and they look better imo).

Thanks for the info, so I can install a different riser as long as it's compatible with the handlebars.
