Not trying to start an argument here. My boss had that one with verizon and hated it. He saw that I liked my crackberry and so he just got one. He's a doc who does alot of consulting. I'm curious to see what he thinks of it in a few months.

My gf also has one and is not fond of it, but not enough to switch.

i am stearing torks the BBerrys
just dont know about the open keypad (just been used to flip phone )
and im not one of thos waisthanger ;) i like my phone in my pocket

The 8310 comes with a little leather/vinyl holster that doesn't clip to anything. The phone just slips inside it and it protects it from lots of stuff. Mine doesn't take much more room than my RAZR did. The 8310 is also pretty durable. I do childcare and mine is often hijacked by 2 year olds who then fight over it. It's taken some good hard knocks. My only concern is that I hear that it cannot handle any amount of water.

Not to start another argument over Treos, but I've had 2 of them now and hate them to no end.  They are prone to locking up and any of the Palm OS ones just have no sense in how you navigate through them.  Nobody did any studies on ergonomics at all when they designed this OS.  The Windows ones aren't so bad on the button ergos, but they are more prone to crashing, in my experience.

My crackberry 8130 syncs with outlook but the phone part really sucks - I believe it has nothing to do with product - I just got defective unit.

Do they still give phones out for free when you renew your contract?
