iMovie effed up the audio in a couple clips, and I don't have the will to try and fix it.  sorry about that.

not actually to the lake itself, but the little cafe near the lake.  With the lack of rain we've had the lake and reservoirs are down pretty far.  But all in all a very good non-work day of riding.  Even found some of my riding buddies up at he cafe when i got there, just by chance.

more pics in the link.

Crystal Lake, eh? That sounds eerily familiar...

haha.  i never made the connection.
no homicidal maniacs, far as I know.  just a cash-only cafe/store (scary enough) at the top with some campgrounds and cabins.

Got in this convo late, but if you guys ever come up this way, drop me a line.
By the way, I live in Santa Paula now, one block off Ojai Road (150)

I remember hearing about your move.  This ride wasn't mine to lead and truth be told I didn't know were we were going until I showed up.  Originally was going to be ACH but turned into Ojai once we all got together.

Spring started this week.  The days are getting longer and I was itching to get some miles in and things worked out for me to get on the road today.  I’d been down (up?) to Palomar with the RAT group a couple months ago and I wanted to get out there again with some time to stop and grab some photos.  Such a beautiful day – spring has sprung.  A little overcast and fogged in through the morning but cleared up by 11 or so.  Cows everywhere on the ranches.  And bugs, lots of bugs on the road.

more pics and story after the jump
