If anyone is looking for that DP aluminum fender, I've got a brand new one in the original packaging with hardware available. Never mounted/assembled

Here's where I got my fender. Actually mine was $96 shipped.

Looks great to me. Seems to be a minor scuff in one pic then it's not there in another, either way it's no big deal. I'm positive you'll be happy with the purchase [thumbsup]

is it dent proof?

I have looked at the underside of my plastic fender and it has some real "insults" carved into it....

not sure aluminum will go the distance without looking like a tramp semi-tractors trailer eventually

I guess thickness will be an important consideration

Didn't buy it new but my '66 Bonneville came stock with aluminum fenders.  Still in great shape after 40+ years.  But yeah, the alloy/heat treat and thickness are in the equation.  Don't think the Brits went overboard on that kind of stuff though.

I accidentally bought 2. God these are so nice. I have the extra one for sale in the classifieds cheeeeep if anyone's interested.

Will this fender fit on pre-2000 Monsters? I assume I'd have to fab some type of bracket adapter but I'd appreciate it if someone would chime in. Hopefully I'm not overlooking something which I have done on other occasions.
Don't argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Depends which forks you have.  Fender mounts were a little different on the earlier models.

the AL fenders have two mounts. the higher mounts of the old style and the lower mounts of the news bikes.
there're adaptor plates that come with it.
