Bunny, hiding in a hole. He's kinda hard to see in this pic so he's obviously doing a good job. You can kinda see his fur.

Do I save Mr. Bunny somehow or let things play out?  [popcorn]

Oh, he's make the beast with two backsed.

Let us know what happens.

The hawks were actually much closer. Our back deck is a story off the ground and has steps down the within a foot of where Mr. Bunny is hiding. I walked outside and Hawk #2 was sitting on the deck railing not five feet from me. He took off and thats when I got the in flight pic.

That's pretty cool! [popcorn] I'd let it play out...saving the rabbit just starves the hawks.  There is no shortage of rabbits anyhow.  Hard not to feel bad for the poor bastard though.

Yeah, imagine sitting in that hole knowing there are two things hunting you and chances are you aren't going to make it.

We (as humans) should introduce more wild animals into urban areas. I think we'd all be a little better off physically and mentally knowing that walking to the mail box might include running from the bear, lion, aligator, <insert other man eating animal here> that is chasing your fat ass back up the driveway.

Probably solve our obesity problem too -- all of us having to stay at peak physical performance, or die.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

i say add to the fun. get a fox or something that would eat both the hawk and the rabbit and put it back there.

Mr. Bunny is pretty wiley. He's been around for at least two months and is quick and smart enough to elude my two dogs (not saying much but its something).

It's no secret how I feel about bunnies.

Save the damn bunny!!!

The hawks have to eat too, right?  I'd probably feel horrible but I'd let things play out without interference.  Mr. Bunny may be more wiley than we give him credit for...survival of the fittest right?

It's been about an hour any carnage yet?

Things have quieted down. Mr. Bunny has moved from the hole to a 50ft by 50ft natural area with a lot of cover. Thats his usual home. The hawk family is flying around the area. They've got a nice big territory here with TONS of woods and such. They've even swooped down at one of my dogs once. I think they're Cooper's hawks but I'm not sure. Its kinda weird when they start calling to each other.

I'll get some more pics when they come back.
