Hi,
New rider here from Southern California. I bought a 1998 Monster 750 a couple months ago. The bike is completely awesome and I love it. I got a great deal on the bike but it had a dubious maintenance history so I've decided to give into my compulsions and completely tear the bike down to it's frame in order to do a full maintenance on everything and make it look brand new.
A list of some of the things I'm doing to the bike: Custom Tail chop/integrated tail light and turn signals Powder coat the frame, swingarm, rearsets, etc. rotors/pads/fluid Evo clutch slave/steel clutch line/fluid valve adjustment and belt change replace all bearings/cush drive bushings fork oil replacement/front and rear springs pod filters/carb rejet/cut and core cans Front and rear sprocket/chain replacement new grips, mirrors, levers, bar end sliders, frame sliders (possibly adjustable foot pegs and clip ons) paint the tank, fender, seat cowl and some engine covers, etc.
I really should have waited until after the summer was over to start a project like this but I work full-time and will be starting a Master's of Software Engineering program next month, so I'll be pretty busy for the next 18 months.
Anyway, sorry for the long intro. It's great to be here...
Oh, anyone know if the Apex clip-ons will fit a 98 M750?
