I rode down to the store to get some lunch and someone backed into my Monster. They knocked it onto the right side and the side stand has punched a hole into the crankcase. progressive insurance sent a flatbed and it is now home and the oil is running out. The stores cameras have it recorded and they will provide the footage to the insurance company, and my friends in the store are witnesses. The driver has Allstate. Is there a snowball's chance of getting this repaired?

depends on how much damage was done to the bike. If he costs to repair it (like new motor and body work) exceed the value, then they may give you a choice of getting a new bike or repairing. Repairing it then might give it a salvaged title

The end broke off of the CRG clutch lever, the left mirror is scraped up, and there is a hole in the crankcase.. That appears to be the extent of the damage. How much to replace the crankcase?

How much to replace the crankcase?
Thousands. I know that's not the accuracy that you're looking for and if there is any damage to the steering stops on the steering neck then they might even total it. Pretty weird that it got knocked onto the right side but that the kickstand punched a hole on the left side case. I mean I know the stand is on the left side and all but that's a pretty hard whack on the left side to get a hole. I hate parking my bike around cars and will go out of my way to get it out of their way.

Prolly be cheaper to buy a good used motor than trying to repair/replace the crankcase.

Sorry to hear.
Your only chance at clean title if it is a total loss is to ask the adjuster to write an estimate for a little less than total loss. If there is frame damage, like bent/broken steering stops or any bends or cracks it will be totaled. Then your only choices are buy it back salvage or let it go.

I really don't think that there is any frame damage, butt the guys at Moto Corsa will be the ones that determine that. The bike has 7500 miles on it and I have had it since January 18th. I have become far to attached to it in this short period of time! I've been a year round rider since about 1966, and this has become my favorite bike in all that time. If it can't be returned to per-incedint condition I would be looking to find another of the same model and year-ish.

Thanks for all the sympathy! I need it! The thought that this could result in a total is giving me the heeby-jeebies. I have a seat at Rick Mayers getting done and handlebars from Suburban Machinery on the way!

If they do total it you could always buy it back from insurance and fix it yourself. The busted crankcase is going to be the biggest expense. Like others have said, it might be cheaper to just find a used motor and swap it out. Or, it you have troubling finding an S model you could salvage the Ohlins and other parts off your bike to install on a non-S model.

Since there is a good chance they will total it out I would put all the stock parts back on it and remove your aftermarket goodies (don't think the insurance company will reimburse you for those unless you declared them). Any chance you could replace the Ohlins forks and monotube with standard spec parts before they salvage it (if they do) and haul it away? That way you can just pick up a standard 1100 or better yet an 1100evo + Ohlins = 1100SEvo

Just a piece of friendly advice. I went down a similar road recently. (stolen car, then recovered). I didnt realize how emotionally invested I was with that damn car. I started wasting soooooo much time trring to figuire out, how I would get the pieces I wanted used. Should I buy it back? What about salvage title. It just started becoming a nightmare of possibilities. In the end, I walked away.. took the check and bought myself something slightly better.. with no headaches regarding rebuilding or downtime. In the end, walking away, and starting ovber fresh was a relief.
