Maybe a silly question but, if you applied a coating of car wax on the rims...might the dust and grime spray off with a hose?

Yeah, I do polish the wheels and the road grime comes off easily. Chain lube still needs a cleaner to remove from the rear wheel. Wheels get cleaned every time I take it for a ride. Every time. Not my daily ride so it's easy to budget the time in  after a ride.
You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

Okay, it's not a Ducati, it's a car and it isn't even Italian but I love this color combo.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

It keeps your bits nice 'n warm.  And ensures you have a bad attitude.   [thumbsup]

(Notice it's another grey/black with red wheels?  I've definitely got a favorite combo)
