Is anyone from here around the Lehigh Valley area/ North Eastern PA? I've seen some ducati's ride by occasionally... Would be good to ride as a group once in a while in this otherwise 'chopper' region...

Maybe they weren't Monsters? Wink You might want to ride over to Lambertville some Sunday and snoop around or give Ferracci a call to see if they know where the lads hang out. "In olden time" we used to take early Sunday morning rides to New Hope and have breakfast there until the Police decided that they didn't like 25 Ducatis and XXX Harleys not parked parallel to the curb. Then the guys used to meet at a cafe across the bridge in NJ. Maybe they still do. Best suggestion I have.

Check out Rombo Rosso Ducati Owner Club.

We are more south central PA but have several members from the farther regions like Philly, poconos, jersey, etc...

It's a good sensible group of riders for the most part  waytogo

I would think he'd stop at Coopersburg Eurosports (just South of Allentown on Route 309) way before making it all the way south to Ferracci...

... I believe Coopersburg does the bulk of their business with Ducati (and maybe Triumph) with some Guzzi and Piaggio/Vespa sales thrown in for good measure.

Kev, only learned about that place this weekend from my "reluctant virgin" pal in Ardmore whom I had looking at your V7 setup. The fun roads we used to ride though were either side of the river from Stroudsburg to Frenchtown. Eraldo was "the man" for the 4-valves after Reno moved back to Italy, so his draw was big over the entire NE. Not so anymore?

When you bought your V7 there, is Larry F. running the business now? As for my pal who retired from DC to the Main Line last year, I really think he needs a Tiger 800 with all the touring kit and was trying to twist his arm to go to Cooperburg and ride everything! Although he owns nothing now, he's ridden the West Coast and the Alps on just about every rental bike known to man..., from a Thrurxton to 696 to GS... He needs to do the BRP all the way to TN still, and he needs something he can just hop on and ride to the 7/11. He's also 6'. He's still a "work in progress". Grin

Eraldo is still THE man, and very personable.

His salesman Jim is very attentive.

The rest of the staff... uhhh, not so much.

I waited a half an hour once while trying to buy some maintenance parts for our Duc and NO ONE (other than Jim) was anywhere to be found in the showroom or parts counter.

Happened again THE DAY I BOUGHT MY V7... I literally have just bought a bike from them and I wound up standing around the showroom for about 15-20 minutes waiting for someone to try and find an oil filter and some valve cover gaskets.  Roll Eyes

Hmmm... 20 years ago it was a beehive in there. Sounds a bit "mean and lean" these days. Cry Glad to hear that Eraldo is still going strong. He's forgotten more than most ever know. I guess Larry moved on to I.T. somewhere. He wrote the chip for my 851 and all the factory World Championship 851's and 888's.

Should you need anything for your wife's 696 fast, call Nathan at Duc Pond. He's got his act together and will get it ASAP from Bologna if he doesn't have it on hand. They have to zero out inventory at the end of each December or pay VA property tax on it though.

Bike dealers have a rough time unless they're in CA, AZ or FL anyway as the biz is so seasonal..., or unless they sell snowmobiles and/or ATV's. Wink Very hard to retain good staff.

So how's the Coopersburg dealer then? Maybe some day my "reluctant virgin" pal WILL actually buy something! Cool (Not holding my breath.)

As for the OP, maybe Jim is the man he should call about local rides, etc.?

Ferracci's service  and eurosport's attitude are part of why I started doing the more involved maint on my monster.

Hopefully eraldo getting involved again has saved his business.

Also, due to spamming issues, let me know if you want to sign up for devalmostro.

I'll pass that along to the "prospect" in Ardmore. For Triumph he has a place much closer anyway. Manayunk?

I don't know anything about the Triumph dealer in Manayunk, except that I've passed it a few times.
