Dani is in the business of attempting to win a championship.
Team orders don't exist this early in the season and even more so when things are so close between MM and DP.
Nothing stopped MM from passing. We saw that. But thinking that Dani should have moved over and let Marc through is naive at best.
This.
Lorenzo had it dialed in all weekend. The only possible spoiler would have been...
Rossi also had a good pace going. He needs to stop thinking that one good lap during QP will get it to the first row. he needs to push throughout the session. It's frustrating to watch 3 riders pull a last lap out of their ass, leaving him on the 3rd row vulnerable to the likes of Bautista ramming into him! I know he will always lose out on the start because he's going against midgets that weigh half as much, but shit, if you start on the first row at least you'll be mostly clear of traffic.

I was watching old races from the early to mid 2000's and it seems he's never qualified well. Alot of races he started on the 2nd row. I think it has to do with his preferred setup of having the rear high and the bike quick and flickable currently that is prevent him to get the rear drive grip that he needs to qualify well on the softs.

Its true Rossi never was superb at qualifying, but that doesn't mean he was bad at it either. He generally started at the pointy end, just not always on pole. 3rd row starts weren't the norm. Regardless, he still has 3rd-5th race pace, but the guy is just getting old. Happens to all of us. I'm still a fan and always will be.

I was absolutely flabbergasted to see Bautista's response during the race: sitting in the pits looking like a petulant 6 year old, and based on his gestures, clearly blaming ROSSI for the wreck!
That's an impressive level of doucchebaggery, even for a Spaniard!

It's hard to read into that kind of stuff. Besides, racers are never at their best immediately after a crash. They're still in the throes of the "get out of my way or I'll kill your family and eat their hearts" mentality. If he'd said it was Rossi's fault after the red mist cleared, that's a whole different story.

I don't know...if Bautista didn't see him, and I don't think he did, then it is understandable that he was frustrated with the incident. He did say later that it wasn't either of their fault, but a racing incident.
The Rossi fanboys will likely lay all blame on Bautista, BUT the fact is if you (or Rossi) pass someone on the outside and don't make sure they know you're there, then you shouldn't be surprised to get bumped or run off the track. That isn't saying it was a bad move by Rossi...just that what happened is always a possibility in that situation.

Posting some pictures so that you can judge yourself...but from the overhead, it was very clear that Rossi was far enough ahead to be seen by Bautista. It is also very clear that Bautista strafed to the right HARD. Racing incident? Sure. But still clearly more Bautista's fault that Rossi's.

I agree...but when Rossi was ahead in your 1st shot Bautista probably was still looking ahead and didn't see him...I'm guessing he was focused on the guy in front of him who he was trying to go to the inside of when he hit Rossi.

As much as this looks like a racing incident to me...Alvaro does have a bit of a habit of this sort of thing.
He skittled Rossi, Hayden and DePuniet? in Valencia 2011.
“Unfortunately Andrea hit my front wheel with his rear tyre and I couldn’t do anything to save the crash. The worst thing was that I hit three other riders and they crashed as well, I am sorry for them and also sorry for the team and all the fans.”
He torpedoed Lorenzo last year in Assen.

With all due respect to #58 AB is trying to out do Simo. Settle down people. It's a long race.

We must not be talking about the same MM...
That dude would kick his mom in the face if it meant he could gain a position.
with a steel toe boot. That's on fire.
Love the little guy.
Finally saw the race. I dont really think Pedrosa was being defensive. I just think that MM wasnt able to pass him until he did.

I openly admit here in the view of the whole world that I actually like to watch the little cockbag ride but there is just something about him that rubs me the wrong way. I can't even honestly say what it is. Him and Rossi in Qatar was fun to watch.
