I finished the dual rotor conversion and noticed this.

Shouldn't my brake lines have more slack in them?
I lowered the triples as far as the new bar setup would allow just to get this much.
Actually had to lower them just to get the lines to even reach the calipers.
I'm not sure how much further the forks will extend during normal operation, but it looks to me like it would rip these off if i were to go for a ride.

I suspect you have an SS brake line.

But they shouldn't get tight when the front end is fully extended.

Why can't you unload the front end to see?

 Sheer laziness.
Was planning to do that tomorrow.

What bike are those lines from?  Unless you can get more slack rerouting the lines I think there might be custom or correct lines in your future.

It might help if you post photos of the routing.

There really is no routing to it.
The splitter is bolted to the top triple and the lines hang straight down.
I'm not sure about what bike they're from, i'll have to do some digging in my old e-mails.

I've seen the splitter bolted to the bottom triple, not top triple .. . Huh?

I think Speeddog meant SuperSport SS, not Stainless Steel SS.  The SuperSport lines are a tad shorter than Monster lines IIRC.
