So yesterday I got the carbon bits from Jeff.  Holy smokes they are clean, super light and have a gorgeous finish.  The autoclave process that Carbon World uses is so much slicker than the wet lay up versions of the parts I have seen elsewhere.  In fact I think they are much nicer than the DP parts.....

Bummer is that I now want to replace every single black plastic piece...........

Time to sell some balloon rides!  I use gift certificate sales as my play money and darn it I need to sell a few more this month to be able to finish up the carbon.........  Otherwise I am going to have to wait until August and that simply won't do.

I have a few of the carbon world pieces. If you those look nice, wait till you see the carbonvani pieces from bellisimoto. I bought the oil cooler cover and the upper headlight cover. Finish is amazing, so smooth. The upper headlight cover had the word " Ducati" pressed into the form like the origional plastic piece.
I had older, but the same CF parts on my 696 that arrived in odd shapes and double sticky tape installation. Unfortunately even with real carbon parts you can still get burned on the details.

I saw the Carbonvanni oil cover shroud.  It was a nice piece but did not seem to be any better in terms of finish.  I looked at their site online and went ape nutz over the carbon/painted body pieces.

I was looking at the Carbonvanni site a bit more.  The stuff really does look incredible.  I wish each carbon supplier would send out chips so one can compare various manufacturers.  Can someone please post some close ups of some Carbonvanni pieces before I spend money I may later wish I spent elsewhere?

Thanks!
