2002 - 08 Monsters (don't know about '09 - current) have a rubber plug at the back-end of the motor for the single bullet connector to the neutral warning lamp switch.

Ok, so it's a minor mod...  Really minor, but that rubber plug is white.  Dunno why, but after a while they look like sh*t.

Here's the coolness: That white plug is the EXACT same as the motor mount holes in the frame.  Which means, that if you've got an extra black motor mount plug and don't mind cutting the wiring and re-soldering it or re-attaching another bullet connector to the end...  You can put a black plug on that wire.  Yay!

Sorry, no pics just yet...

I've painted for the second time the header pipes on my s4 matt black because because after a few months of use they became impossible to clean of cow sh1te and other muck and was wondering if the was such a thing as VHT lacquer for the header pipes any info would be most help full  as anybody I've asked here in Ireland has never heard of it.

Fully homemade, TIG welded and lobster back bent exhaust. Just have to pack the muffler, finish my front plate and down pipes then I'll throw it on and see how it sounds.

Wow! Great job you did there, very original.

I can't wait to see it on the bike. What future plans do you have for coating? I say leave it bare waytogo

Going to keep it bare to start, thinking about wrapping or ceramic coating

Haa, no way man. this is a one off, total labor of love. took me damn near 2 weeks after work and on the weekends. Only way I got thru it was lots of dedication and Redbull. lol I finished but of course it's not going on in one piece, but before i cut and flange it I'm going to try taking off the rear sets, kick stand and swing arm to get it to pivot on. Worst part is the X pipe inside the muffler took me so damn long to make, weld, drill holes into and wrap with steel wool and glass... and no one will ever see it!! lol

did you measure the lengths of the pipes to be sure they are even before the X ?

No, they definitely are not the same length. I bet one have 8" on the other. why, does that effect the tone or flow or something?

It's going to throw your bike's totally chi out of balance. You'll be lucky if you don't burst into flames the first time you get on the throttle.

It's almost as bad for your bike as having mismatched tires.

theory is that equal length up until the crossover helps even the pulses or something like that.
you may have to tune out the differences in the cylinders' exhaust routes

I finally got a chance to post some of my at home mod pics so here they are. I wrapped the forks with 1" vinyl (the only size i had at the time) Moved my tall boy clip ons a bit, and removed the cowl plastics with the catchcan. Next thing on the list is to re-paint the cans. The paint flaws are due to the wifes feet rubbing.
