I was messing around with the Idea of an Air inlet modification and got a cheap part from a Motorcycle recycling/scrap yard to do this(I don't like to mess up my original parts just in case).

The first thing I noticed was this cone in the center of the Air filter, it has it's function but to me it just seemed to be taking up space:

The actual function of that cone is to direct airflow into the air box and prevent turbulence (and the restrictive effects) within the air filter. You have created a high pressure area at the air filter that atmpspheric pressure needs to get through to get into the air box.

Before tail Chop

Dismantled and about to cut frame

Goodbye about 5" of frame

All Complete Smiley

Total cost was around $10, made out of thick sheet metal just cut and bent to the right parameters

Nice tail chop! But now you gotta do something about your wheelbarrow butt.

Haa, I am. I'm losing the Remus high mounts and building some custom pipes that dump under the swing arm/rear of engine.

Skyshadow - I found nice plastic hole plugs at Home Depot that fit perfectly.  Hit them with a little spray paint, a touch of RTV to keep them in there and looks like it came that way from the factory.

Doing the sprocket cover mod gonna paint it red. Also I fabricated a plate to mount my garage door opener on where the left side mirror used to be (since I have bar end mirrors there was just a hole there). Also has anybody made home made passenger pegs I'm gonna figure out a way to do that too

I disabled the ridiculous kickstand switch:

And I chopped the tail and found these cool, metal plugs for the frame:

I was looking for the black, rubber/plastic plugs with no luck. I found these and actually think I like them better (especially for my frame color).

Next step is getting an integrated taillight/blinker setup.

I installed bar-end mirrors.  There are two rounded plugs used for the handlebar that I took them off and kept them.
When I did my tail-chop and those two plugs fit perfect.

I converted my CF DUCATI Performance rear hugger from a touring model to a "Sport" model.
Took a dremel tool and proceeded to cut off 8" and followed the same basic shape as the original.
Very happy with the end result....much more aggressive & sportier!! chug
