removal of immoboliser antenna from ignition cover

Hello folks,
I've bought a great looking carbon ignition cover for my M1000s (2003).
Have removed the plastic ignition cover.
Have done research on the internet (so it must be true!)...but the antenna is well and truely glued into the cover...not just a spot or too...but the whole ring.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thank you in advance

Be very careful. From experience one little break in the wire FUBARS the whole thing. I'd cut the excess plastic off first so I could get at the antenna itself, more carefully. Try some solvents perhaps, see if you can soften the glue and
gently
pry it out.

You could dis-connect the antenna to make it easier to work. If you are sitting on the bike, the front left corner has a socket-thingy that you can disconnect and thread the entire antenna/cover out.

absolutely Cdawg...although for others that are reading and looking to do the same mod...this will require removal of the dual threaded mounting studs (various ways of removal - vice-grips and double nuts).
Anyone have any ideas about solvents do weaken glue/bonders?

STOP! Save your first one if it is that glued in. Get a 2nd one via the Parts for Sale section or eBay and then tear /cut it apart. If it breaks -- you won't be stopped from riding then. What are you out -- $15 or less? Not like there is a large demand for them out there.

ducatiomaha.com
. a brand new one is $44, no cutting, grinding, solvents or anything else required.

yep, I'm going that route fellas!
down here they charge $73 for the same bit of course
then glue in with a few drops of loctite (instant bonder not thread locker) and away we go!
imagine how cheap one would be of Chris at Motored-sports! definitely the way to go, threads of TOB suggested that the antenna pops straight out, just me, it ain't like that!
