For those with open clutches - Beware ugly legs ahead!

Had a little situation a couple of days ago. Pulling onto our deck, to put it away.

The front tire slipped out from the wet grass and down she went. I was only at crawling speed.

The only damage to the bike is a little scratch on the good side fairing.  :(

However, the open clutch gave me a good beating, as it was hitting my leg. Felt like a baseball bat smacking it, while I tried to get it turned off.

The photos are from today, but it happened on Wednesday night. It was like a softball a hard as a rock that night.

Will be fab'n up a new clutch cover now.

Sorry to hear.  Looks like a lot of swelling.  Was the clutch completely open?

be sure and post up the new clutch cover.

yeah totally open, will have to modify the original or find a cheaper alternative.

Just wanted to let people know that in the off chance that your not vertical, it'll hurt like hell beaten against your leg.  ;)
