What to say...it was exciting, scary, humbling, and educational. The NYST is not an easy or forgiving track so I'm told (as compared to others). Has off camber corners, a hairpin, and an overall of something like 38 ft of elevation change.
I had the oldest bike on the track (however, the most interesting...lots of ppl stopping by my tent). And, not surprising, I was the slowest rider out there.
But my goals were to stay on the track, try to keep a good line, and to stay smooth.

So much fun and so educational. I learned that I generally was only a decent rider on the street. The track is a good teacher and fault finder...

Too bad I can't afford to do them more but I would rather spend my money building a better/cooler bike.

Will post pics once the photographer has uploaded them to his site.

who was the day with NESBA?

I was there last weekend with Fishtail.  The facility still needs work as far as amenities, (especially for women, apparently they don't realize women not only do trackdays but also attend just as family) the track was a lot of fun!  Next year should be even better once the curbing is in..

Yes it was w NESBA. You are correct, the amenities need work, but it will come as the track gains popularity and funding.
It was pretty cool though that they had a truck full of spankin new R6's and R1's you could try a session on. I chickened out and just stared at them....lol.
My brother did not care for the NESBA people however. Thought them to be a bit arrogant. He was put in intermediate class, told them his times up at Louden and they refused to bump him to advanced. He kindly asked two of the track coaches to go out with him so they could see the pudding. He smoked em both and they still refused to bump him.
Pro Motion was like: oh, you race at Louden? You time is xx:xx:xx? Here's your advanced sticker, enjoy.

I did one NESBA event.

I'll never do another.

I found them to be pretty arrogant. They haven't been back down here in about a year

My experience also.

I've been spoiled by riding with basically the same group since 2000.

It's a more mature group with very little testosterone being flung about.

It makes it more fun.

Well I'm happy but not happy to hear that the experience wasn't a singularity.

Bear in mind that the NESBA experience (used to be) is regional.

The regional presidents for Mid-West and Mid-Central were flat out amazing people. The control riders were great and several are still friends.
But NESBA pulled out of Mid-Central in 2010 and Mid-West in 2011.
This alienated a lot of the folks who participated across regions and cost them a bunch of GREAT leaders and control riders.
A lot of the folks who rode with them out east found the NE and Mid-Atlantic regions to be full of cocky a-holes. But there were several exceptions...

And they also sold off their online presence to Vertical Scope and we all know what VS is all about.

Couple pics. These are the screen shots of the prints I ordered:
Not the best form in the world but I stayed on the track and had fun.

And a shot of my older brother on his R6. He does that track in 1:36

Good to hear that the track is challenging and getting better, Tracks for bikes are few and far between in the New England area. Cool pics! I like the 1/4 front fairing.
