We have a make-shift garage for now.  I converted the back addition to our house into a bike garage. I took the standard door out and put a 42" door in (still have some framing to do).  It's nothing special, but it works for us.   
Yesterday I used "Herculiner" to cover the floor.  The stuff is solid but went on very blotchy, as you can see in the pictures. When we move in the future, a nice, giant garage is 1st on my list.

I think that's a fine idea. We're plotting to build our own place on a 2.5 acre block. First step is to build a thumping big shed and live in it with the bike for a couple of years while we build the rest of the house. Then I get the worlds coolest shed for my toys. I think I'll put up some nudie calendars and a "no boys allowed" sign.

Wifey won't allow bikes in the living space... but I am building a sort of garage-mahal.  I'm getting the floor polished in my 2400 sqft garage this week (provided the contractor actually gets his concrete guy out to our place).  It's 24x96 ft.  It has two garage doors on each end (one 10' and one 8' on each end).  I have a bench along about half of one of the long walls.  In the middle of the opposite wall there is a large rollup door leading to "The Barn" (a multi-purpose space that's roughly 84'x48').

Electrical was done to my spec... 4 different circuits for 120V outlets, 20A per circuit.  I also have the outlets staggered so if you're using two adjacent outlets, they're on separate circuits.  Easier to not overload a single breaker that way.  They're also labeled so you know how much you're putting on each circuit.  I also have a 240V drop for a vehicle lift, a 240V drop for a welder, a 240V drop for an air compressor, and a "spare" 240V single-phase for an unspecified future machine tool.

There is a row of windows on the bench wall, for lots of natural light.  The garage doors on each end trigger twin-T5 fluorescent overheads... because in that cavern, the dinky little garage door bulbs are pitiful when it's dark outside.  There are 8 or 10 twin-T5 fluorescent fixtures out over the main work area (I forgot if there are 4 or 5 pairs).  There is a row of twin-T5 fixtures over the workbench, on staggered switches... you can turn half or all of them on, and they alternate (you're basically changing intensity, not which half the workbench is lit up).  Anyway... it's very well-lit.

I'm budgeting for a Challenger CL10V3 lift.  That'll be the main attraction.    Being way out in the sticks, it's a pain to take the vehicles to the dealer for work/maintenance, so I do most of it myself.

It's insulated, but we're also having a wood stove installed shortly after the floor gets polished.

I'll have to post some pics after the floor gets done and I can start moving my crap in and really organizing it.  I've been living off random tools laid out on the bench for almost a year now... driving me crazy.  Can't wait to start getting things organized and officially put in their places.
