Don't know if anyone watched the sbs doco on The car of the Future.
There was one car that was looked at from a think tank group in the Rocky Mountains.
It is called the Hypercar made completely of Carbon Fibre, I think is was 14 or 17 snap together bits that made the entire car.
This gave the car a weight of 1/3rd of normal car mass. Powered by electric motors, of course it is still crazy expensive.

My point being that this group is talking about making our cars lighter to move around.
So all of us here who pile on the carbon bits are actually doing good for the environment by making our bikes lighter and stronger.  applause applause
Keep up the Carbon work we are doing our bit for the planet.

That makes sense doesn't it?...... Grin Grin

You must have a lot of time on your hands Matt, but you are right, not only that, but we also use less fuel, and take up less room on the road, not to mention parking

Nice for the S4Rs or Desmo?

For the D16RR, as it has a 16" rear and there is only one type of tyre available from one manufacture and no slicks. im told its worth a bomb to and not so good Angry

So I will be buying 17" rear and matching front so I have a choice of tyres even slicks if I like  waytogo

not only does CF make bikes lighter but it also locks up carbon and prevents it from otherwise entering the atmosphere.

Think of all that carbon that would otherwise be floating around damaging the environment.  Wink
