Dang  Shocked  I'm glad to hear you at least were able to get some decent track time out there today.

I'm very unhappy to not have had the chance to try out my KTM.  I want to get a track day in on it before the end of the year.  I'll keep an eye out for other possibilities track day-wise so maybe we can get out there together.  Always good to know the people you're on the track with.

Sorry you could not make it. It turned out to be great weather.  The Grom was great fun to ride, it does not feel like a mini bike, more like a nice small bike.

And swanny's beautiful 848 track bike

For a Texas track day the weather couldn't have been better!   Dolph

It was great to see some faces I hadn't seen in a long time   Smiley
It's a shame Cher didn't make it.  Hope you feel better soon.

This outing has given me motivation to get a set of dedicated track rubber
and a relatively minor opportunity to improve my painting skills.

The guy who was riding the Panigale (who got toted off in a blinky wagon)
came back to the track before the end of the day: 100% no breaks/real injuries!   chug

I think I'll be back out there on the 27th ...who's coming?   Evil

Glad to hear the panigale rider was ok, and you too  waytogo.  I really liked the Dunlop Q3's I put on the bike for this weekend, great stick when cold, and never got greasy as it warmed up.  Good price to at cyclegear.

There were a bunch of 1199's there, a couple of 1199Rs, and at least 4-6 others. Also a very nice RSV4, some 848's and monsters.

I couldn't make it this time. I'll be heading out on the 27th and might be bringing the monster also. I really just want to wring the shit out of it.

Stan,

What are your thoughts on the Streetfighter on the track?

Overall it was good, but took some muscle and trail braking to get a good turn in, especially on the slow corners.  Even though it weighs similar to my 848, it felt heavier overall as far as riding effort, some of that I'm sure is the longer wheelbase and slower steering geometry. The suspension also felt a tad softer, I got more wallowing and pitching it seems. Brakes and engine are great though.

The lower pegs compared to the sbk's made me drag toes a couple of times unless I was on the very balls of my feet on the pegs. That rattled me a bit as I have not had that happen before  Shocked
