Gonna give this a try. Selling through Cyclopsadventuresports.com if there is sufficient interest.
Im in the process of researching monster fork sizes so I can figure out if these will fit Monsters as is or if I need to change the mounting diameter to match.
So, if you're interested, let Cyclops know.

just make a series of them or have the diameter as an option on ordering
50,53,54 are common Ducati sizes and any where in between if you slide them up and down the fork outer tubes
41, 43 and I think 45 are the inner tubes.
for example LSL make headlight brackets in these sizes
35mm clamps, black (...35)
36mm clamps, black (...36)
38mm clamps, black (...38)
39mm clamps, black (...39)
40mm clamps, black (...40)
41mm clamps, black (...41)
43mm clamps, black (...43)
45mm clamps, black (...45)
50/52mm clamps, black (...50/52)
50/53mm clamps, black (...50/53)
50/54mm clamps, black (...50/54)
50/55mm clamps, black (...50/55)
50mm clamps, black (...50)
51/53mm clamps, black (...51/53)
51/54mm clamps, black (...51/54)
51mm clamps, black (...51)
52/55mm clamps, black (...52/55)
52mm clamps, black (...52)
53/54mm clamps, black (...53/54)
53/55mm clamps, black (...53/55)
54/55mm clamps, black (...54/55)
54mm clamps, black (...54)

Headlight brackets don't clamp in the same area my clamps do so i can't go off that. Dramatically different sizes on my bike so in have to believe ducatis could be the same way. I also can't work with a tapered surface, the brackets won't stay in place.
Thats why I need the lower fork clamp diameter. It's a straight OD that I can work with.

with the amount of material you have you could build them as one piece and when a customer orders with their needed diameter, drill out the inner diameter and then slice the piece in two.

I think that's where you're missing my point. I'm not building to order because I don't want to, it's because I'll get crushed financially if I do it that way. I have to set up and make a bunch then move on to the next job. If I'm putting material in the mill, or any machine, it has to produce a finished part ready to go on a bike. Handling it a second time costs too much and would price me out of the game.

Probably easier and more $$ in your pocket if you become your own eBay store..

Maybe. Something to consider.

Hey Monster, Love the work you did.
I would love to mount some aux lights to my Monster as I live in deer country and anything helps. That being said I prefer brackets that are minimalist. It looks to me like you could make three of four brackets from the ones you made in the pics. Having made some things in the past I think they would be strong as they are now (if used as light brackets and not ladder steps) at 1/3-1/4 their current thickness.
As a product it would save you materials and maybe sell more bits.
That is all for my two cents as it is likely worth less. I would never stop making bits if I had that equipment.........

Thanks!
They're .800 thick, I could probably cut that down to .500

If you get a chance, cut them down to .300, then stand on them again. Bet ya they will be just as strong.
Less materials, less weight=more sales, more profit from said sales. I would buy a pair.

very cool. i've always wished I had better lighting options for the monster. headlight is terrible.
Look at Rigid Industries and their LED lighting options. I'm running the Driving Light and it is insanely bright - got flashed on a dark road; so I shut off the light for a couple seconds (connected to the Lo beam) and then back on. No more flashing.

Just out of curiosity, how did you hold your piece to cut off the hat? Pocket in soft jaws, tape, strap clamps...

Pocket in aluminum soft jaws, good guess!

Ok, so I am, at this moment, finishing up the CAD model for these brackets in 54mm Monster size.
I couldn't get anything going with Cyclopsadventuresports so I'm selling them on my own.
$166 shipped anywhere a $6 flat rate box will go for $6.00
That gets you two brackets, two caps, 4 stainless cap screws and they'll come black anodized.
Anybody interested? I could have a batch done in less than 2 weeks (I think)
