What you think, on your bike would you have done the same or tried a different maneuver?

Was it intentional? Looks to me like he might have just grabbed a fist full of front brake and gone down on accident.

Either way, I would have TRIED to slow down as much as possible and then swerve to the left - but of course hindsight is 20/20 and I know from experience that the mind doesn't work that rationally when put in situations like that.

If intentional, I would have tried to stop instead. Rubber to pavement has a better friction value than skin/leather to pavement, so you'll always stop faster using your brakes.

If you watch his hands in the beginning you can see he almost takes a dive off to the right.  A little target fixation on the car he was passing probably, but I think and hope I would have done it different.   It looks like car on left, watch to see if it will pull to the right, look up to see holy crap I better jump, maneuvers were never in the program.
 

Or better yet wait a heartbeat to find the gap under the truck, push right bar ahead to get a lean, hit throttle, front brake a little, shift weight to lay it on the side, go under trucks center, come out the other side bring it up and keep going.

This gent needs to practice "emergency stops".  Virtually any motorcycle stops better, steers better, and hurts its operator less when it's upright.

I'm hoping I would have not had to react at all. How can you miss bright orange huge Fing truck a good ways in front of you? His overtake rate of the car may indicate that he was riding a little faster than he should have. Not that I have ever ridden over the speed limit but if had I would have paid attention..you know scanning and other boring stuff that keep us from getting killed.

Long Rant over. Short version: Braked my ass off maybe been able to escape to the left, but really once I was on the brakes hard I don't know if I could have released and and turned.

As soon as this clip started I thought to myself "how does this dude not see that huge orange truck... Oh shit!"

I endo'd and broke a wrist and collarbone trying to stop before hitting a stalled car in a similar situation to this (at night big black tinted SUV in front didn't see the car til late and swerved around it. I came around the SUV into a ffffffuuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkkkkk stalled car). Ever since then, it's been priority #1 for riding on the road: make sure you see EVERYTHING ahead of you. This clip is just unfortunate rider not paying attention. Next time he will. That could have been ugly.
