broke my leg last year and have not been riding in a while. planning to get the 796. ive owned couple 620 and s4r in the pass. been reading reviews and watching videos on the 796 and the more i watch the more i want. think im gonna pull the trigger and treat myself to early xmas gift!

if i were you, i'd look for an 1100/s - i has a feeling that after the s4, the 796 will feel a little anemic...

i agree with you barney. if i can find a good condition used 1100s then i will consider.

I would go for the 1100 - an 1100S preferably.  Don't get me wrong, I love my 796 - it's super light, makes a great city bike and the power is very usable and never overwhelming.  But it could use another 20hp.  I feel the 1100 is under powered too but its closer to the sweet spot IMO.  The 2014s water pumpers should address this short coming  waytogo
