I would kick the Buell down the road before I kicked any of the others.  Then again I have owned a Buell........

perfect two bike garage for me is the 900 monster and the ST2 and/or ST4 I have now. (have to sell one in the spring)

I like to do long trips out west and need to sprint across the Midwest and prairies as quickly and as comfortably as possible. (no more than 2 days to Colorado) I used to do it on my monster, but the knees, hip flexors and shoulders can't do it anymore after 20 years of firefighting, 5 years of college football and 40 years of hockey.
Even with an ST, I had to modify it with handlebars and a sargent seat.
However, for anything around town or really anything under 5 hours, I can't imagine anything better than my little 900 monster.


If I had a bigger wallet the two bike garage would be the monster and a diavel strada.

There's something I like about the looks of them. But I did a tour with an idiot who had one...Lightning with 1200cc engine or something. He was Harley trash at heart but couldn't afford a Harley so he bought the Buell, did a hideous job of murdering it out, took off the pipes so it was DISGUSTINGLY loud, and we had to stop every 100 miles or so to fix something with it. D***head still owes me money but I never want to see him or his bike again. He soured me on Buell's quite a bit.

*edit, just so no one's offended: by Harley trash I mean a poser POS who knew nothing about bikes but wanted to be seen on one. Religious nutjob with bad hygiene also.

If were sticking to ducati's i'd say a hyper and a SF. Different riding styles and built for different purpose. Both very street friendly bikes. Hyper for your daily, 2v motor cheaper on the wallet when the miles get up there. And SF for ass kicking. Monster and SF are too close of cousins. Unless you have a highly custom Monster for cruise and show, and the SF for the dirty play.
