Took a nice ride on the Hawk today.  The color hasn't been very vibrant this year unfortunately.  Here's a few shots anyway.

Stated by heading up NC209.  We do have a couple straight spots here in the mountains.

Got to one of the better parts shortly after the last pic:

A very fall driveway:

Headed over the Balsam Mountain area.

Fun with a cool Norfolk Southern railroad trestle.  It's been re-done since my last visit.

A couple Blue Ridge Parkway shots.  This is near the southern end, between Balsam Gap and Soco Gap.

Thanks for looking!

Wow. Impressive pictures.

Your Hawk is the best looking example I've seen.  The blue is good compliment with all of that silver of the frame and engine.

Thanks for the compliments!  That Hawk is an absolute blast to ride.  It's so easy to flick around, it just needs a bit better suspension.  It's got just over 10,000 miles on it.

Nice hawk.  Is that a supertrapp exhaust?

Yea, it's a full Supertrapp system.

Thanks, JM! Not all that different than my roads in VA below the mountains, but #2 reminds me particularly what I like about the roads near you in NC. Maybe it's the rock formations.  Wink We've had a frost already and it's nippy but there's a rumor of a slight warm-up on Wednesday. If so, I'll head out to the BRP and hope to catch a little color if any remains.

Keep snapping!

Very nice. I appreciate your taking the time out of a fun ride to snap some pics for us to enjoy!
We had some knockout color here in VT this fall, I saw some pics you posted earlier that didn't look too shabby.
Love love love to see those twisty roads, you got that over us in spades!
Keep safe, and keep posting!

Figured this might be the best place to share these.

Very nice!  I've not spent much time in Maryland, looks like it's certainly worth a visit!
