Guys,

Does anyone know if the handlebar clamps off the 03+ monsters will fit the 2001 600, 750, 900? The old clamp with the rectangular top looks higher and looks really bulky

is it the bolts on each piece that are a different distance?
I figured distance between the actual risers didn't matter as the top are clamps and not connected like the rectangle was

is there any alternative to the stock one wo buying a whole new triple?

Yes, the bolts on each piece are further apart on the new ones.

You may be able to find some at a moto salvage place, there's bound to be some model of bike that had ones that fit.

Track down a handlebar riser manufacturer, they should be able to help.
