i wish all races were like this first half of this one...

then we'd have to listen to jorge complain in every press conference.

my feelings about him aside, masterful race from george.  slow then fast, nothing else he could have done.  and nice job pedro.

congrats MM!  this season was over in austin.

1st half of that race was epic!  bow down MM did very well in riding smart & JLo did a great job keeping them bunched...

...that said, F JLo. A proponent of clean racing, unless it doesn't suit him.

"Obviously, I didn’t want to touch Dani or do anything to him, but I had my strategy and I had to try until the end. The first time he braked earlier than I expected and the second time he tried to stay in the same position on the outside and we found ourselves in the same place. I say sorry to him because I never want to touch any rider."

but yeah, f that guy.  =)

Played out like I expected.

Dani didn't have enough pace to make a pass on Jorge stick.
That was odd.

Jorge's going to have a tough time in the future crying foul over rough riding.
Well, he undoubtedly will, but IMO his credibility is lost.

Marquez played it cool, impressive!

Can't wait for testing, that'll be a treat.

Dani didn't have enough pace to make a pass on Jorge stick.
That was odd.

he (everyone) was being held up by jorge so he was having to force passes a bit, which made him go a little wide.  then george wicked it up to a more normal pace for a second.  bigger problem was the track; it's a hard place to pass (unless you're MM on a moto2 bike).

his credibility on that topic was lost before he ever opened his mouth, since he was so damn aggressive on the 250.

smartest thing MM did today was wave dani by.  well, one of the smartest things anyway.

just watched the awards ceremony.  he handled it very well.  no jorge-esque jackassery.

Seems like Yamaha didn't have any problems with there engine allocation as people were suggesting earlier in the season.

Race direction's findings will be interesting.

Poor Pedrosa! I think that's sucked the last bit of Ki out of him. What a beating!

Cant help but think that JL could have won the championship if instead of complaining, he beat up MM each race by riding like that. A bit of Rossiesque head games off track would have helped too.

The Kid kept cool nerve for a 20 year old. Impressive.
It was great to witness history being made.

Lorenzo and Crutchlow both blew up motors in practice prior to this race

Have to disagree.  Pedro, with injury, cracked 300 points.  That may well be the story of his career, but he's still a championship contender.  A couple of MM 15+ practice crashes go the other way and he misses 2-4 races.  You never know how each season will go.

Dani needs to remember how aggressive he was today in Valencia, and Jorge needs to stop apologizing for it.  Ride tough every week.  Bashing a few fairings is part of the deal.  Bring on 14'.
