The job just moved from Chinatown to Georgetown.

At least one of the underground lots near the old office was cool enough to allow bikes to park for free in those odd nooks and low places one cannot fit any car.

Anyone got a line on a lot like that in Georgetown? Free or reasonably low cost bike parking?

Not opposed to paying something.. though paying full freight to park in a non car accessible spot just doesn't make the economics work and I'll be giving my funds to WMATA

BTW anyone else working down that way?

Panda, I work just across the Key Bridge in Rosslyn. Parking my Duc right next to the bicycle parking lot in front of the Lowe's Georgetown theatre never had an issue with parking there for hours at a time. Also there is a bicycle parking spot right at the intersection of Potomac and Prospect Street that usually has spot for moto to park safely.

So how many hours at a time? I'd be there the whole work day.

Both places I've parked for 7+ hours. As for the place on Prospect n Potomac, it's up the street from the Subway's sandwich store.

I am uncertain if there are any in G.Town, but the motorcycle parking meters are 12hr meters and 25 cent for 30m.  In front of the movie theater there is some lets call it strange parking for bikes/motorcycle.  Legality is questionable.  dc

There is some metered parking - there are 5 moto spots on Thomas Jefferson just below where it intersects with M. But they are metered at $2 /hr. For a work day that's on par with any lot parking that wants to charge a bike the car rate.

That is not proper they are charging more for some greed reason.  All the MC parking specifically near my work/slave ship is 25c per 30m.   bow down

This. I would ride up towards where the C&O Canal trail ends. It's about 2 blocks from the waterfront. There's lots of room up around there.

There are some spots at M and New Hampshire.  Technically on NH, across from Mei Wah.

@MonstaS2R, I am working in Rosslyn now.  You know of any inexpensive garage parking there for bikes?

So i rode in today... and some douche parked their old POS jeep Grand Cherokee across all 5 of the metered spots. Something seemed afoot at the Nike store so it was probably related.

Hope he gets 6 tickets.

I tried to work my way into an under ground lot on the cheap, but the guy wanted full fair even to park in a non car spot.

So, I just went in, grabbed my stuff and left. F it

@GTIBrett - depending on where you are working there are a couple. If you're down by the Key bridge on North Kent Street there is FREE motorcycle parking. The other spot is at the intersection of North Oak Street and Wilson Blvd. There is parking right by Roti for bikes as well.
