bang head First it was the the 4mm bolt on the inspection cover, then  bang head the 4mm on one of the clutch springs.  Well, I was inpatient and I wanted the surest way to take them off that I knew would work.  Out came the welder.  I welded the spring retainer to the bolt then turned it out with some channel locks.  The on the access cover I got a bolt of the same diameter of the 4mm head and welded that together and off it came.  Without regret I'm glad of the outcome.

I know, I'm waiting on my DMF sticker too

Awww, come on! If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's an electrical problem right?

What did you ground it to?

When I got my bike 2 of the lower triple clamp bolts were stripped out. Stupid owners

I just grounded on the spring, for the inspection cover I grounded on the bolt that I welded onto the stripped one.

Good. wouldn't want to screw anything up.
At work the welders aren't supposed to ground through bearings and whatever. Course, they generally don't worry about it.
