Canadian couple from Surrey, BC.  (Arnie & Diane)  Both Duc owners (White Monster and a Red Sport GT) buying retirement home in Calabria, IT.

That's funny, that's where my wife is from. Likely our final destination. I'll have to check out that episode. Fortunately we won't have to look for housing.

In some places there, I would need subtitles too, to understand what they say  Grin
Unusual destination for retirement houses. Tuscany is definitely the place where most tourists are looking for retirement houses, but Calabria is definitely cheaper.
There are some nice places, but, even as an Italian, there are places where I would not feel confident living.

Yes, most want Tuscany of course.  They knew that they could get something cheaper and practically on the water in Calabria.  I'd take a place there or anywhere North in Trentino-Alto Adige/South Tyrol.
