I have noticed in UK and Thailand that recently Ducati spare parts  have risen by 40-60%  + taxes,,,,   thats huge , its not due to currency fluctuations , the 3 dealers i buy from in UK tell me its new policy of VW/AUDI to increase returns on investment  older model  spares have been hit hardest ......ouch!!!!

When I was an engineer for a large appliance manufacturer, our parts department had the highest profit margin by far than any other segment of the business.  Many companies massively jack up the spare parts prices to help mitigate their sagging bottom lines elsewhere.  Not unusual, but no fun for the consumer.

I hope that's not the case for all older models, if so I'm off to see an MV Evil
