So Im on the hunt for a touch sensitive (capacitive) momentary switch to set up a trick starter button. Ive looked all around google but cant find any with high enough amperage. Any ideas?

Toggles are easy enough to find and the goal is to have a keyless system with hidden switches.

Relays are your friend.

True but I'm not sure what you mean. Are you suggesting that I make my own capacitive switch?

No. I'm suggesting you use a low-current capacitive switch to control a relay that runs high current to the rest of your starting system.

Ah! I get you.  waytogo
Perhaps I could use this: http://www.amazon.com/Capacitive-Touch-Sensor-Switch-Kit/dp/B004HMZ890

Couldnt I use the above with the stock starter relay?

(I have a '99 750 btw)

Looks like that would work. Someone please step in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Output of that to the stock starter relay should do the trick.

If you go forward with the project, keep us posted. Could be pretty effin sweet.
