If you've never done a track day...
Or if you've wanted to but couldn't...
or if you just can't get enough...
You can take your street bike and try it on the track without any BS or stress. It's a bunch of like minded individuals who care more about their friends than their egos. It's literally the most relaxed way to try the track.

THIS is the day to go, ask anyone that's ever been to a DESMO track day and they'll confirm what I'm saying (Howie, Roger, Kevin, Michelle are a few on this board that know)

The details are below:

This is on the Thunderbolt circuit at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Monday, June 9th, and will be organized by Absolute Cycle Experience who has hosted the last five DESMO days.

The cost for this year's trackday is the same as last year $225 per rider. This includes track time, instruction, t-shirt, and garage. Lunch is not provided so you must bring your own.

As usual, this year's trackday will be limited to just 80 Desmo members, friends, and family. This is about half as many riders as at an average trackday.  You will be riding among friends and with many less riders than an average trackday!

These spots will fill up quick so be sure to register ASAP.

So mark your calenders for June 9, put in for your vacation day and count down the days to have a great time out on the racetrack with all your DESMO friends!

Also keep in mind that Absolute Cycle Experience will be hosting a trackday on Lightning circuit on Tuesday June 10th  as well. This will not be a DESMO club day there are always a large group of members that attend this day every year. So if you're traveling a long distance for Monday, you might as well sign up for Tuesday and make it two in a row for twice the fun!

Contact Ben Phillips (ben@desmoducati.org) for more info or to sign up.

Hope to see some of you there.

+620 to what terry said.  desmo day is my favorite track day, due to the mature riders, low track density and relaxed pace of the day.  the beginner group is really geared toward street riders, most who have never been on a track before.  it's so nice having 20 riders per group instead of the usual 35-40.  there's a lot more open space, less bottlenecks and more instructors.  hope to see some of you there!

I can confirm 2001cromo and froggert's comments as well.  Did my first (and only) trackday last year with DESMO.  Couldn't have imagined a better experience (well, except for the constant rain).  Great people and great atmosphere.

Will be there this year.

If you're not sure, sign up.  You won't regret it.

If anything, this DESMO Trackday paradoxically showed why you should go to DESMO Trackdays.  I guess Ben & Co didn't get enough early sign-ups to secure their 80-person roster, so Absolute Cycle opened it up to the gen pop to reach it's normal 120 (or is it 140?) rider quota.  So basically 50% more riders this year than normal DESMO days.

Both years I did the beginner class.  Last year, we (16 of us, plus instructors) were the ONLY ones on the track during the "Intro" sessions.  This year, there must have been another 15-20 beginners (not in the class) on the track with us, plus more Absolute guys riding around.  Way more crowded out there.

Still, 'twas a great day.  Weather turned out excellent by EOD in spite of early rain.

Now I just need to get a dedicated track bike so I don't fear a get-off that takes out my ride home.  Millville -> Brooklyn is a long walk.
