Hey dmb80/Dave that was the Paxton pub ride last year. 5/ MAY 2013.

Betty organized it, she actualy did a pretty good job too, so i guess you might have to wait until she chimes in and gets another ride organized.
Betty knows the roads up that neck of the woods like the back of her hand, and prefers not to venture much further south from PITS.

Group rides have gone a little slow off lately, for more than one of many reasons , people moved on, sold, crashed bikes etc,
Or guys not to mention names Teff who organize rides then decide to leave half way through.
I will be out unless my special order Panigale Super Leggera Tricolore, Turns up from Italy

I might take the opertunity to start a list of the DMF Stalwalts. Cheesy
im sure will chime in and take up the challenge Tongue

Rob was so upset with Brian piking out on the last ride that he decided to crash that tri colour.

Great initiative!

Not sure if we will be available that weekend though ... it is school holidays, a long weekend and double demerits will be in force.

Perhaps the following Sunday 12th October ... daylight savings should be upon us by then too. I may be able to remember the way ... but I don't think you would all want the slowest rider leading the ride   Embarrassed

and prefers not to venture much further south from PITS.

Why would you venture any further south?

Bloody hell May 2013 ... we have been a very unsociable bunch  Cry

Dave,

It's a looooooong and drawn out ordeal, but it's about time that someone here puts things straight.

A group of us decided to do an Oxley ride around May this year. We made it to Long Flat, which is on the Oxley HWY, the first night and stayed at the Pub.
I had my own room but Rob insisted that he shared with his "close" mate Mark. We don't know what happened that night (he bends both ways i'm told) but next morning he was a grumpy old shit and decided that he was better than us and took off in the opposite direction to the group.
This is where it gets interesting, I have heard many differing stories as to what happened. One was that there was a rock well onto the side of the road that he hit as he was running off into a ditch. I'd go with that one. Police thought that maybe some kids stoned him, being a TricolorĂ©.

He wasn't injured though, which was a good thing. If by chance he gets another bike before your ride, please put him at the back of the group and if you can, pull one of his spark plugs out.     waytogo

Won't let the truth ruin a good story. Lips Sealed

But i did find the S4rs Tricolore over rated and decided to move on.  waytogo

Bwian has  reworded his post under duress  to reflect the real story Shocked

Dave,

It's a looooooong and drawn out ordeal, but it's about time that someone here puts things straight.

A group of us decided to do an Oxley ride around May this year, for a 3 day long week end. We made it to Long Flat, which is on the Oxley HWY, the first night and stayed at the Pub for one night.
I  insisted that I share my bed with my "close" mate Mark. We don't know what happened that night,i was so drunk (he bends both ways i'm told) but
But next morning  after a lovers tiff between me , Paul , and Mark, we decided to head home down the freeway.
Rob took off in the opposite direction to the group back down thunderbolts in the snow ,wind and rain, and negotiate the debris strewn mountain range.
This is where it gets interesting, I have heard many differing stories as to what happened. One was that there was a rock on the  the road that he hit as he was trying to avoid and on coming truck on the wrong side of the road . I'd go with that one. Police thought that maybe the unfavorable road /weather conditions ice snow rain oil ect, being a factor, but Sir Rob being highly talented rider  on TricolorĂ©,came through unscathed.

Now, how can you have heard differing stories as i was the only one there? Undecided

could have The Diesel spilt on the hair pin, wet corner, buy the logging truck accident earlier in the morning. Dolph

Rob
For your benefit I have selected a couple random photos from the net
showing different cornering  styles which should improve your riding

A) Incorrect lean & body position at high speed

B) Same corner correct lean & body position at warp speed

Hope this helps
Any questions feel free to ask

I'll be up for a ride, follow double point week end passing, should have the baby capsule fitted securely to the back seat of my monster by Sir Rob in his man cave by then, as he has nothing else other than himself to tinker/polish with.  laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp

I won't stand for this, all you blokes berating our little mate.

Its just that some people can't handle the added power that the testastretta has.

I suggest that we all chip in and shout Wobbart a Stay Upright refresher course if he ever gets his mojo back and buys a bike.
