My Monster now has a room mate. a 2000 996.
Its got 18k on the clock and a full service history.
Afetr a 300 mile  trip Involving 3 trains and a bus and a cab I picked my new toy  up in Hull from a nice bloke who was thinning his collection of bikes to buy a Camper van (vw bus).
He had 4 Ducatis and this was the first one he bought. He then got a 998 fe and a gt1000 and a sport classic. And a gsxr1000 L0 race/track bike.
Anyways I digress.
8pm Hull South Yorkshire England
3.30 am Home Burntisland Scotland.
300 miles in the dark and wet but totally worth it
The first 150 ish miles are Motorway so it was like a video game for the first 2 hours.
Then I stopped cos my ass had gone numb.
The last 15 miles had average speed cameras and a 50mph limit. after almost 2 hours at 80ish  50mph on a 996 in a straight line is painful.

The Tamburini SBK's are my favorite, but no way I'd want to ride my 996 on the street.

They're just not comfortable enough.

Congrats though, whatever you use it for.

GT1000 and SC??  Kinda redundant, I mean, how do you decide which to ride?

The SC. The GT's are the fugly ones imho. But this guy obviously liked it enough to buy it.

It took me a 4 days. Or rather I managed to resist for 4 days.
But the modding ( which I told myself I wouldn't do) has begun.

Some of you may remember I got a job lot of DPM Ducati Performance stuff I few years back.

I kept these especially for future 916.
