We plan on hitting hwy 4 tomorrow and will report back. Today was 180  and 198 if I remember correctly.    Dam near clipped a bear inside the park.  Chipmunks don't count do they?

We didn't make hwy 4 because it's snowed and temp dropped to 20.   With 20% grades we ran down 88.   Then onto 49 North into Sac for the night.  Onto Hwy 16 north and left on 20 to fort Bragg.  Except for Hwy 16 we didn't run in a straight line for nearly 800 miles.   I highly recommend the 1 south of Fort Bragg, much better than the section South of Santa Cruz.

Ha!  you guys rode right by my house.  Well kinda.  I live but 15 minutes from 16 and 49.  the roads up here are why I bought the Duc.  ( :  I despise straight lines.

I miss those roads
Hwy 120 from Mariposa to Groveland was my favorite
i lived a couple years in Jackson, couple in Sonora, and then 10 in Fresno
