So is WSBK allowing twins an additional 100cc? That seems excessive, as the 1199 is already competitive in superstock (or EVO) trim.

But "under powered" in Superbike.

I like HP but I agree. I had an 1199 and it was way too much for the street.

Very close to what's going to be allowed in WorldSBK next year.

Read somewhere that the upgrades were mostly about the intake issues...

I think it's a good thing the SBKs become more production based motor wise. There I said it. Grin
Should be oem electronics, ha, that would put a rocket up Honda's and Suzukis' asses!

I used to think it would dumb 'em down, but they make heaps more power than the SBKs of not too long ago.

Friend of mine had a 1098, all tricked out with Ohlins, he could ride the snot out of that thing.  He sold it a couple years ago and is back on a 600cc Yamaha.  He loves them... plenty of power for the street.

The only time I'd ever seen a 1199R was in Manhattan... being ridden with a (male and heavy looking) passenger on the back. The light turned green, the guy gets it going about 15 feet with a first-hour-at-MSF-style wobble, and then stalls in the middle of the intersection. I had never seen a more blatant display of asinine  foolishness. It made me sad.
