Not necessarily a steal but AlpineStars has a new leather/fabric jacket called the Neo that has leather in all the places you would want full grain perforated  leather ( on the outside of the armrs and shoulders w/ 2 different types of fabrics which make up the rest of the stylish jacket. The main fabric is a 600 Denier and corduroy mesh which makes a very breathable, water resistant, abrasion resistant leather jacket. The Corduroy mesh is in the inner arm area which allows for good air circulation. There is a fully lined zip in /out thermal liner. Multi stitched w/ CE approved removeable shoulder and elbow armor,  has a foam back pad insert (a CE-certified RC back protector is available as an accessory) pre-curved sleeves, hook and loop waist adj. pull down wrist zippers. Lots of pockets . Blk, Blk&Blue S-4XL $299.95 MSRP.It sounds like a good jacket for hot weather riding plus it has a stylish look to it.

Roseville Cycle Center has a retail front and ebay store.  They are closing out and discontinuing all Dianese gear.  At least two folks I know have negotiated gear at cost.  Look at the ebay store for inventory, then call them to close the deal. (916) 782-2171.  I think "Bobby" in the retail department is the person to talk to.

If anyone's interested in a backpack, the Ogio No Drag Backpack is $99 at Kneedraggers plus free shipping and no tax to California (Yeah, imagine that).  I've seen this back pack listed anywhere from $119 to $149 everywhere else, not including taxes and shipping.

Women's 2007 Teknic Violator Jacket at Bike Bandit for only $88

http://www.bikebandit.com/product/4161?WT.mc_id=674310

I've got this jacket (well, the men's sizing) and it's very, very nice, perforated leather with a zip out insulating/waterproof liner -- I'm going to try to make a go of it as my only jacket here in Arizona, and so far so good up to around 95 degrees. It's hot when you're not moving, but you can feel air flowing well when you get going. Though the Bike Bandit blurb doesn't mention it, the Men's version (and other places I've seen the Women's listed) has both an 8" and a full-circumference zipper to attach to Teknics pants (I've got the Chicane leather & I like the way they fit).

Definitely take their advice that the Teknic stuff runs small -- I'm normally a 38 or 40, and a 42 is just the ticket for me in this jacket.

Since it looks like they mainly have White but no photo, here's a couple of quick shots of mine in white:

I think BP recently got one of those 2 piece suits. After looking at the pics, first thing I would do is replace that crap armor that's in it...

I just recently bought the one piece chicane.  The elbow and knee armor seem very good.  The shoulder and back armor are useless.  But at a price like that, you have enough $ left over to get good armor.

I am just comparing it to the armor I got in my AGV Sport jacket and pants. It's hard shell armor and soft padding underneath...
